Celebrating aviation leaders everywheretaking the industry to new heights
Project overview
League of Aviation was a social media campaign I created to promote the Q&A panel at an Air Cargo Handling Conference in Budapest. The panel featured industry leaders who serve as role models to many. Inspired by the idea that role models are like superheroes, I designed comic-style illustrations of the speakers. I also created the print and promotional materials for the conference as the event graphic designer. This case study presents a redesign of the campaign, updating visuals and concept while keeping the event’s authentic context.
The Challenge: The only direction given was that the event needed marketing.
Project Scope: I took the initiative to conceptualise a campaign that visually celebrates the speakers’ influence, aligns with the conference brand, and encourages sharing and attendance, while making the content fun, memorable, and highly engaging.

Building on insights from the Mind Map and Comparison Map, I transformed aviation speakers’ traits into superhero personas. I sketched and refined comic-style illustrations that highlighted their leadership, impact, and inspiration, turning abstract qualities into engaging visuals. Each concept was designed with clear messaging and post objectives in mind, capturing attention while celebrating the speakers’ influence in a fun, memorable way. To support campaign success, I also created a marketing plan detailing post scheduling, audience targeting, and engagement strategies, ensuring the visuals reached and resonated with the intended audience.
Story Boarding
Alongside the storyboard, a word association graphic was created to explore and map the speakers’ traits, helping to inform their superhero personas and ensure each character’s qualities were clearly reflected in the visuals. This approach strengthened the campaign by linking creative insights directly to the final designs, making the messaging more engaging and consistent.
