design challenge

Creativity is best trainedthrough practice and iteration.

Project overview

The 28-day logo challenge pushed creative boundaries and refined design skills. Each day featured a logo for a different fictional brand, exploring a variety of industries and visual styles. Challenging myself as a designer, this project embraced the beauty of design as a continuous journey of learning, experimentation, and growth.

The Challenge: Create 28 unique logos in 28 days, experimenting with different styles, typography, and brand identities under tight daily constraints.

Project Scope: Generating a logo a day tested my abilities, pushing me to experiment, take risks, and learn from every iteration. You are invited to follow the evolution of ideas and creativity from Day 1 to 28.

Discover

My Journey for this challenge began by skimming all 28 briefs to understand industries, styles, and constraints. Each day, I focused on that day’s brand, exploring competitors, trends, and inspiration. Decisions about what to explore and what to leave behind were guided by both research and intuition. I am ensuring each step is purposeful while leaving room for creativity.

Ideate

Research insights shaped sketches, typography experiments, and colour explorations. At times, my mind went completely blank; the ideas just didn’t flow. When that happened, I stepped away from the digital screen, picked up pencil and pad, then started drawing freely. This return to basics helped ideas emerge naturally, and I was able to make on-the-spot choices about what felt authentic. This stage reflected my curiosity, playfulness, and willingness to take creative risks, while keeping each logo relevant to the brand.

Prototype

Concepts were translated into digital drafts and mock-ups. Daily iterations allowed me to test, evaluate, and refine each design, making decisions about clarity, impact, and versatility. This stage highlighted both technical skill and adaptive problem-solving, ensuring each logo worked in multiple contexts.

Define & Deliver

Final logos were polished into complete assets, with colour palettes, typography, and supporting elements documented. Every choice from spacing and hierarchy to colour selection reflected my exploration, design sensibility, and thought process. The 28-day challenge showcases my growth, experimentation, and versatility, capturing how ideas evolved from initial sketch to final logo while staying true to my creative identity. I always enjoy a good creative challenge, improving my skills and this project was no exception.
